John Maher-Vicar/Team Leader
The Rev. John F. Maher, Jr. has a desire to see those with no faith involvement discover the love God has for them and share that with others in and through the church. Having answered this call to mission, John can bring people to Christ in the Northwest Valley of Phoenix and help grow the ministries of a vital, active parish from the ground up.
John has been married to his wife, Carol, since 1975. They have a grown son and a daughter. Ordained a deacon in 1979, he was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1980 in the Diocese of Pennsylvania. He served St. Mark’s, Frankford as a curate for two years, and then St. Mary’s, Warwick for almost twenty-four years. He has a Master of Divinity degree from General Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
